Update on Flowers for Algernon October

In Flowers for Algernon  by Daniel Keyes, so far I have read 45% and it is very interesting. Since the last time, Charlie's character has developed into almost a whole new person. There has been a lot of flash backs, to how Charlie used to be vs. how he his now. Charlie's surgery obviously was a success, but he is struggling with learning to properly behave with people and in public. The flash backs show how naive he used to be, and how his life used to be. He's becoming more self aware and beginning to challenge authority, he's realizing how people are really treating him and he doesn't like it. His "friends" are leaving him because of how much he has changed, and Charlie is beginning to think of himself as better than his old friends.
